Our Network
What We’re Building
OptiF is designing and deploying an independently owned dark fibre backbone engineered for next-generation AI, data center, and carrier connectivity. Our infrastructure is 400G/800G-ready, future-proofed for upcoming technologies including 6G, RF densification, digital twins, and quantum networking.
Planned Routes & Key Nodes
Phase 1: National Loop
Route: Dover → Penzance → Reading → Dover
Purpose: AI-ready national ring with direct transatlantic and continental entry points.
Core Route: Reading → Slough → London (financial & hyperscaler edge)
Phase 2: Northern Expansion
Route: Reading → Manchester → Edinburgh → Glasgow
Extended Link: Manchester → Isle of Man → Belfast
Extended Link: Manchester → Dublin
Deployment Status
Stage: Infrastructure Planning
Construction Start: Q1 2026
Permits & Compliance: Under regulatory preparation (Ofcom, local authorities)
Target Completion: End of 2029
Backhaul & Long-Haul Design: Modular fibre capable of multi-terabit capacity.
Engineering Highlights
High-core-count fibre (576+ cores possible)
Dedicated duct systems and joint boxes
Custom routing for ultra-low latency AI workloads
Passive and active route validation: OTDR, CD, PMD, latency, OSNR testing (upon deployment)
Edge-ready and metro extension capability
Visual Representation
Ducts, OTDR screenshots, splice closures are representative illustrations based on planned deployment architecture. Actual implementation will commence Q1 2026.
Why It Matters
This is not just another network — OptiF is being built from scratch, designed to outperform legacy routes plagued by high-loss splices, poor planning, or untested fibres.
With OptiF:
• Every route is measured and certified
• Infrastructure is AI-optimized from day one
• You’re investing in a clean-sheet, long-term asset with minimal signal degradation over decades
